Hello, I'm Kat.

I’m an independent graphic designer and copywriter, who works by a philosophy found in a Chinese fortune cookie.

This lucky fortune reads, “Teach oneself by exploring the old and deducing the new”.

From that simple, brilliant statement the way I enjoy working came into focus. For me, design and writing are all about discovering the background. Digging through research to come up with the nerdy details that make it all fascinating. I love nothing more than taking a mass of information, and the expressed and latent design needs of my client, and distilling everything into exciting and informative work.

IT IS MY BELIEF THAT PEOPLE LEARN AND ENGAGE AT THEIR HIGHEST LEVEL WHEN THEY ARE ENJOYING THEMSELVES, I seek work that would allow me to use design to educate and inform through entertainment.

I’m based in the beautiful and bustling Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania, just an hour north of Philadelphia. When not mesmerized by a glowing computer, I’m found reading, trying something new in the kitchen, or getting completely filthy in the garden.
